Molarity Equations

Postby Jennifer1E » Thu Jun 29, 2017 11:58 pm

How can we indicate when to use the equations (Minitial)(Vinitial)=(Mfinal)(Vfinal) or Molarity=moles/volume when approaching a problem?

Often one has to use both in a calculation involving dilution or using a stock solution to make a more dilute solution.

Usually this equation: (Minitial)(Vinitial)=(Mfinal)(Vfinal)
Is used in calculations involving dilution or using a stock solution to make a more dilute solution.

Come to office hours and peer learning sessions today and go through some examples to help clarify.
