Re: mmol
The unit mmol is a millimole, which is 10^-3 mol. You can figure this out because m stands for milli, which is 10^-3 of something.

Re: mmol
It means 10^-3 of something, in this case of a mole. Take liters and milliliters. In one liter, there are 1000 mL, so in 1 mL, there are .001 L. Hope this helps!

Re: mmol
Mmol is millimole. Milli- means 1/1000th of. So, it would be 1/1000th of a mole. Also, another example of “milli” is milliliter which is one thousandth of a liter.

Re: mmol
Whenever you see 'm', it implies 'milli'. So, the unit mmol means millimolar. Also, milli corresponds to 10^(-3).

Re: mmol
The unit mmol stands for millimole, and more specifically represents 10^-3 moles. The only time I ever use millimoles is if I'm calculating molarity and the volume given is in ml. Instead of converting ml to liters you can convert moles to mmol and because the units match up the answer will still be the same.

Re: mmol
mmol means millimole. If you want to convert it to moles, just multiply the amount of mmol by 10^-3. Also, think of it this way: don't let the fact that the base unit is a mol. Just remember the King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk acronym and use it to multiply or divide by 10^n when necessary.

Sorry, what does the acronym stand for? And does anyone have an example for how you would use it?

Re: mmol
I found online that king stands for kilometer (1000m 10^3) Henry stands for Hectormeter (100m 10^2) Died stands for Decameter (10m 10^1) While stands for standard (1m 10^0) Drinking stands for Decimeter (.1m 10^-1) Chocolate stands for centimeter (.01m 10^-1) Milk stands for Millimeter (.001m 10^-3)
