Avogadro's constant
hello can someone explain the concept of how to apply Avogadro's constant? I'm reviewing some problems but I'm having problems remembering.

Re: Avogadro's constant
Avogadro's constant is used to calculate how many formula units are in a mole. For example, if we have 3 moles of carbon atoms, we would use Avogadro's constant to find out exactly how many carbon atoms are present.
3*(6.02214 × 10^23)=1.806642*10^24 carbon atoms
3*(6.02214 × 10^23)=1.806642*10^24 carbon atoms

Re: Avogadro's constant
Thank you! Are there other types of instances when we would use Avogadro's number or would it only be for these types of instances?

Re: Avogadro's constant
Avogadro's constant is used when converting atoms or molecules into moles of a substance. Hope this helps!

Re: Avogadro's constant
Avogadro’s number is the amount of formula units/molecules/atoms in a mole. This number is commonly used in stoichiometry.
Re: Avogadro's constant
Avogadro's number is commonly used in quantum problems. For example, the photoelectric effect equation gives us the Energy of the photon in units of energy per photon. We can apply Avogadro's number to find the number of photons involved in the reaction (as an example) in units of mols.

Re: Avogadro's constant
Hi! Avogadro's constant is used in problems that involve converting some known value of moles or grams into formula units or molecules. It's commonly used in stoichiometric problems.

Re: Avogadro's constant
You mainly use Avagadro's number to change from molecules to moles and so forth.

Re: Avogadro's constant
Avogadro's constant would be used in instances when you need to convert between moles and the number of molecules/atoms as Avogadro's constant is the basis for 1 mole of something.

Re: Avogadro's constant
We use avogardro's constant to determine how many atoms are in a set amount of moles, and vice versa. For eample if you have 23 moles of lithium, you would multipy that by avogadro's constant and get the number of atoms. If you wanted to get the number of moles from a certain number of atoms, you would simply just divide.

Re: Avogadro's constant
Avogadro's number is basically the number of units in one mole of a substance. It gives a measurement of how much of a substance there is in particles.
