Can someone please give a description of the different types and reactions and how to identify them? I would appreciate it so much because I am so confused. Thanks!

The main types of reactions (I'm assuming you're referring to the electrophilic/nucleophilic rxns), are:
-electrophilic addition, where an electrophile is added to another molecule.
-bimolecular nucleophilic substitution (Sn2) in which one nucleophile replaces another nucleophile. This often looks like an atom or atom group attached to a main molecule becoming an anion, and a anion getting attached to the main molecule.
-another, more specific one from the textbook is electrophilic aromatic substitution, which involves substitution of a H atom on a benzene ring with an electrophile
