In the Introduction to Organic Chemistry textbook p. 156 near the middle: what is that line "Priority: Nu > CH2CH3> CH3> H" ?
What priority? and how do you determine?

As mentioned in the text, this priority is explained in section 3.5 (R, S isomers). We won't be covering this in Chem 14B, but this is how you name a tetrahedral configuration where the center is the chiral carbon/stereocenter. This is shown on page 128, it basically tells you how to name the molecule when the numbers go clockwise or counterclockwise.

I believe the prioritization follows the atomic number of the atom bound to the chiral carbon.
