What's the difference between SN2 and electrophilic addition and how do you identify them apart from each other?

Electrophilic addition involves an electrophile being added to a molecule such as the H+ from HBr being added to CH3CHCH2 whereas Sn2 involves a nucleophile being added to a molecule such as OH- basically they're opposites of eachother.
