When k the rate constant is increased why does Ea not change?

the rate constant k and temperature T can change each other, but they don't affect the energy of activation. For instance, increasing the temperature may increase the rate constant, so you get more of your reaction occurring. But all the reactants still have to cross the same barrier.

The only thing that would change Ea is a catalyst.
