Calculating relative ratio between two conformations

When calculating the relative ratio between two conformations can the delta g naught only be negative?

Since it's a ratio, if you calculate it with delta G being positive, you will get the inverse of the ratio you would end up with if you used the negative delta G. It's not necessarily wrong, but it's easier to interpret the ratio if you just use a negative delta G.
