Axial v Equatorial bonds

Postby Jessica Sims 3E » Sun Mar 13, 2016 11:04 am

In a twist boat confirmation how are axial and equatorial bonds identified and what would happen to them in a ring flip. Is it the case that axial and equatorial bonds always switch in a ring flip?

For that problem, you would identitfy which ones are axial up and then alternate going up and down and apply the same method for equitorial up and down. As long as the largest subsituent is on the equatorial, I believe you are okay.
