So just to clarify, Exergonic and endergonic refer to Gibb's free energy whereas exothermic and endothermic only have to do with heat?

Re: Vocabulary
I find it helpful to remember the whole exergonic thing by thinking exerGonic -> G(ibbs free energy)! I don't know if anyone would find this useful but it sure helps me keep the terms straight :)

Hello! For reactions that are endothermic/endergonic, there will be more energy on the products side of the reaction and for reactions that are exothermic/exergonic, there will be more energy on the reactants side.
Here’s a graph of the two: https://chembossenergy.weebly.com/uploa ... 8_orig.gif
Hope this helps!

Re: Vocabulary
Endergonic and exergonic refer to changes in free energy (delta G). Endothermic and exothermic refer to changes in internal energy of molecules, measured as heat given off or taken up (delta H).
Re: Vocabulary
Endergonic or exergonic refer to gibbs free energy, while endothermic or exothermic refer to enthalpy.
