Question about approximation of results

Postby Bogdan-Andrei Bagdasar 1A » Sat Mar 12, 2016 5:43 pm

Let's say K is 3.6 for a molecule. Would we approximate and say that for 4 anti conformations we have 1 gauche or should we say for 36 anti conformations we have 10 gauche?

Let's say K is equilibrium constant for GAUCHE BUTANE<-> ANTI BUTANE at 373K. K=3.6. When interpreting this, which is more correct: 4 anti conformations for each 5 conformations or 36 anti conformations for each 46 conformations
