Determining Empirical Formula from Ball and Stick Structures

I understand how to determine the molecular formula, but how would I find the empirical formula based on the structures? Question F.25

So as you said you already know, the molecular formulas are:
a) C4H6Cl2
b) C2H8N2

So to find the empirical formulas, all that you need to do is divide each of the molecular formulas by their greatest common factor. So for a) it would be 2 and for b) it would also be 2. So then your answers would be:

a) C2H3CL
b) CH4N

Hope this helps!
