This question is asking you to determine the empirical formula which, by definition, is the ratio between the atoms in the molecule. So, by assuming that you're working with 100 g of Vanillin, you can convert each mass by composition percent to grams. For example, 63.15% C could be expressed as 63.15 g C, which you'd convert to moles. You do this to all of them, divide each by the smallest number of moles, and multiply all by a number to reach that smallest whole number ratio between the atoms in your molecule, if required! Hope that helps!
