Molar Mass of Ions

Postby Marsenne Cabral 1A » Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:35 am

When trying to find the individual molar mass of ions in a chemical formula, would we first calculate the mass percentage that the ions have in the formula and then calculate the molar mass?

If you are given an a molecular equation and the mass of said equation, then, as you said, you must find the molar mass percentage (the percentage of mass that the ion occupies in the molar mass of the molecule). Then you just multiply that percentage by the given mass to calculate what the mass of the ion is in the given question.
