Test 1 Outline Question

Postby Gabriella Bates 2L » Tue Oct 08, 2019 12:25 am

On Lavelle's Test One outline, one of the bulleted points is:
"Use various means of representing molecules and write formulas from molecular structures."
What does this mean? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Molecules can be represented in various ways. For example, you could write the formula for the molecule like H2O, or you could draw its molecular structure like H-O-H. These are different ways of representing molecules. Writing formulas from molecular structures means writing the formula of the molecule H2O by deriving it from the molecular structure you see.

Just means know how to apply the N=n*Na and m=n*M formulas depending on what is being asked.
