Why is it so rare for a black body to exist--specifically, why is it so difficult to find an object that exerts 100% of its energy?

The atoms or molecules that make up the black body have limited energy states. In other words, you will never find an object that can absorb light at every wavelength or frequency.

Black body objects are simply theoretical-in other words, in the real world there does not exist an object that is truly a black body, or absorbs all wavelengths of light.

If black bodies are only theoretical, then why does the book refer to heated metal, or a "hot object" as black body?
