I have been wondering what black body radiation is. Can anyone please explain it to me?

Re: Black Body Radiation
A black body is a theoretical object that absorbs all wavelengths of radiation. When an object is heated up, it emits light, so black-body radiation is the wavelengths of light a black body emits when heated up. Observation of black-body radiation has shown that the intensity of the radiation emitted increases at a rate of a constant times temperature ^ 4, and that the wavelength of maximum intensity is inversely proportional to temperature.

I don't think it will be. Lavelle mentioned that it wouldn't because we didn't learn it, or rather discuss it in lecture.
