I believe we do not need to know the equation. It is useful to know, however, that Planck's constant was formed to explain the data from blackbody radiation.

Black bodies are more covered as a physics topic, as opposed to a chemistry one. Dr. Lavelle also states that we won't need to know much. Likely, all we need to know is what he's told us so far in the lectures.

I believe Dr. Lavelle stated that we wouldn't necessarily be going in depth on black body radiation in this class, so I don't think we need to know any equations for it as of now.

All equations needed I believe are in a handout that will be given before midterm and such, no equations will be needed to be memorized I believe.
