Will we ever need to use the equation described for black body radiation? I know we should at least know block body radiation as a concept but should we ever need to use the actual equation?

We probably won't ever need to.

I believe we do not need to know the equation. It is useful to know, however, that Planck's constant was formed to explain the data from blackbody radiation.

Black bodies are more covered as a physics topic, as opposed to a chemistry one. Dr. Lavelle also states that we won't need to know much. Likely, all we need to know is what he's told us so far in the lectures.

I believe Dr. Lavelle stated that we wouldn't necessarily be going in depth on black body radiation in this class, so I don't think we need to know any equations for it as of now.

All equations needed I believe are in a handout that will be given before midterm and such, no equations will be needed to be memorized I believe.

He said we don't really need to know much about black body radiation!

He mentioned in the lecture that we would not need to know about it.
