Concept of Schrodinger

Postby Vy Le 1G » Tue Oct 19, 2021 8:10 pm

Hi, can someone please explain the concept of Schrodinger’s equation. I know it’s to determine the position of an electron but I’m so lost with all the variables and what Dr. Lavelle wanted us to know about it. Thank you in advance!

So in general, Schrodinger's equation is used to calculate the wave function and corresponding energy. The wave function is a trajectory function that changes depending on the states you are given. While I am not completely certain about the mathematical operations, I do know that the primary importance of the equation is to prove wave-particle duality.

Schrodinger's equation is used to calculate the possible energy levels of atoms, or other particles.
