Schrodinger for Exams

Postby Austin Cheng 2A » Mon Oct 23, 2023 4:39 pm

Hi! I read a previous response and was a little bit confused. Do we only need to know conceptually what the Schrodinger does and not have to solve for it on exams? Thank you in advance!

I'm pretty sure all you need to know is what the wave function is the height of a wave, the wave function squared is the probability of finding an electron, and also understand how schrodinger's equation relates to orbitals. We won't need to solve for it.

Hello,

I believe that all you will need to do is pursue the concepts that are readily available to solve the basics of a wave equations such as the height and frequency. I do not believe that the professor will become incredibly in depth when it comes to the conceptual applications on the exam.
