conclusions from shrodinger's equation

Postby 806137743 » Sun Dec 03, 2023 10:20 pm

Hi there,
I'm reviewing for the midterm and I am slightly confused on what the definite conclucsions we can draw based off of shrodinger's equation and the reulsting wave function. Also, how do we get from shrondinger's to the wave function. Is that somehting we need to know how to compute or just know that the wave function arises from shrodinger's equation?

Yes --> Know that the wave function arises from Schrodinger's equation.

Remember in class I discussed conceptually Schrodinger's equation so that students know where orbitals come from.

Orbitals are wave functions (math functions) that are valid solutions from the Schrodinger equation.
