Can anyone please provide me with a simple example of when/how to use the Schrödinger equation?

I covered the Schrödinger equation so that students understand where orbitals (wave functions) come from.

As I discussed in class we are not doing any calculations involving the Schrödinger equation.

See your lecture notes for the concepts we covered related to the Schrödinger equation.
