Test 2 and Shrodinger Equation
I don't understand what the Shrodinger Equation is actually calculating. Will we have to use it on the upcoming test?

Re: Test 2 and Shrodinger Equation
During discussion, my TA said that we don't need to know how to do calculations using the Schrodinger equation for the test. We just need to know the concepts behind the equation.

Re: Test 2 and Shrodinger Equation
I think all you need to know is that orbitals are wave functions that take values of n, l, and ml, and that the square of the wave function is the electron density distribution. Also I remember him saying in office hours to know the concept behind hamiltonian derivatives, but I was confused on this too, if someone can elaborate.
