### What is Shrodinger's for?

In what context will we be using shrodinger's equation and what is it for? What does it tell us and what does it solve?

Shrodinger's equation is a model for the wave function of an electron. We simply look at it conceptually to understand what orbitals are. Don't worry about any calculations with this equation.

Schrodinger's equation predicts future dynamic systems via calculating the partial differentiation of wave functions, or how the electron will behave around its nucleus.
Most likely, you will not have to calculate anything with the equation itself, but you should at least know what each part of the equation represents.

It uses to describe the wave or state function of a QM. I don’t think we need to know it for this class. Just understand it conceptually

Why are 2nd derivatives used in this equation?

Schrodinger's uses a function to describe an e- in an atom and uses the concept that an e- with wavelike properties and indeterminacy in momentum and position can be described by a wave function.

Are you able to list what each part of the equation represents?
