If an atom has an electron configuration such that some electrons are paired in an orbital, and you are trying to find an electron in a paired orbital, the fourth quantum number would help distinguish between the one with an up spin and the one with a down spin. Therefore, yes, the fourth quantum number is helpful in terms of figuring out electrons for atoms other than hydrogen/many-electron atoms. The other three, however, are arguably more helpful.
