I understand how the Schrodinger equation works but why is it significant to know?

To my understanding,

Schrodinger's equation helps us understand the wavelike properties of an electron. Other than that, we have not covered much of it in lecture.

I believe we use it to help us find the allowed energy levels in a quantum system.

It allows us to calculate an electron's wave function.

It helps us understand the behavior of electrons, and to also approximate where the electron is during a specific time.
