### Application of Shrodinger's Equation

Hey everyone,
Can someone give an example of when we would use Shrodinger's equation? I understand the conceptual information regarding it, but have we seen an example of a problem where we have to calculate wavefunction?

i think we just have to understand it conceptually, not actually use it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we only have to understand it conceptually as it is a pretty high level quantum physics equation with calculus.

I'm having a little trouble understanding it conceptually, is it calculating the total energy of all electron in an atom? Or just one?
