Adding on, the probability of finding an electron varies depending on the orbital, since there may or may not have nodal planes(areas where there is 0 probability of electron density). For s- orbitals, there are no nodal planes, so there is symmetrical electron density distribution. p-, d-, and f- orbitals have nodal planes, so there is non-symmetric electron density distribution.

The Schrodinger Equation shows the probability of finding an electron (which is what the "electron density" part of the equation refers to) in an the electron clouds of an orbital. Hope this helps!

This equation basically refers to electron density and the likelihood of finding an electron within it.
