Midterm
Just for clarification, will there be a lot of information about the Shrodinger Equation on the midterm?

Re: Midterm
Hi, I believe that we need to understand what the equation represents conceptually, which is the fact that the square of the wave function gives us the probability density of finding a particle within a specific region, and we need to know that this equation is what gave rise to us being able to determine the orbitals of an element as well.

Re: Midterm
You should know that the Hamiltonian operator has two parts, the kinetic and potential energy of the system. When you apply the operator to the wave function, it gives the allowed energy levels for that system. Also, the absolute value of the wave function squared gives the probability density of the electron. I'm pretty sure we don't need to do any calculations.
