Hi! Can someone explain the "paricle in a box" concept in relation to the Schrodinger equation please? Thank you!

Particle in a box essentially refers to confining the motion and position of a particle to a scale in which quantum mechanics would be relevant as opposed to classical, larger-scale mechanics. The schrodinger equation in this context would provide the allotted and possible energy levels that the "particle in the box" can take up and the wave-like properties of the particle.
