Will test 2 cover material about orbitals?

Test 2 will cover all of the Quantum mechanics we have gone over in lecture. The modules will help you with the types of problems we will see on the exam.

We do not have to know electron configuration for Test 2. The topics we need to know are the Atomic World, the photoelectric effect, atomic spectra, Bohr frequency condition,De Broglie Equation, Heisenberg Uncertainty, energy levels, Schrodinger's wave function, and quantum numbers. Now that I am typing this, it seems like a lot but we got this :0

I am pretty sure I have heard both my TA and Professor Lavell say that we do not have to know schrodingers wave functions just n,l,ml

I believe we need to know what n,l,ml, and s means and how we can find those numbers

You must know about the quantum numbers and their possible values. So yes, test 2 covers material about orbitals, but I don't think that should be your biggest concern.

I think test 2 test up the multi electron atoms which is where we left off on in last Friday's lecture
