Favorite Industrial Example

Postby Jeremy Feng 1A » Sun Nov 11, 2018 11:25 pm

Hi all,

I am curious to hear about industrial examples of coordination compounds and how they are applied. If any of you have examples you see from your life or work, I'd love to hear below. Please share!

Actually, I have a question for you. What are coordination compounds and what is one example do you know of? This is the first I've ever heard of that term so I'm curious.

As someone stated previously, I think bismuth subsalicylate, or Pepto-Bismol, is an example of an industrial coordination compound.

A coordination compound is a metallic central atom surrounded by other atoms or molecules that are known as ligands or complexing agents.
