Cisplatin is for cancer prevention. On Marshmallow, this explanation was posted:

Chemotherapy drug, Cl on same side are involved in the binding of cisplatin to Guanine base pairs in
DNA that are adjacent or near each other. The binding at 2 base pairs allows cisplatin to block DNA
replication machinery and thus stop cancerous growth. See notes for more detail.

I don't think that myoglobin is created from hemoglobin. Instead hemoglobin is made from four polypeptide chains each containing a heme group (allows the proteins to bind oxygen), whereas myoglobin is made from just one polypeptide chain with a heme group.
