State of matter

Postby Sei Lam 3F » Mon Dec 04, 2023 10:19 am

In chemical equations, the products/reactants are generally written with a subscript denoting the state of matter (e.g. H20(l)). Does this affect any of our calculations, and if so, how? Thanks!

State of matter shouldn’t ever affect calculation unless the units are different with water in ml but there is a constant on our constants sheet that shows the conversion: Water Density = 1g.ml

If you are doing any of the calculations done in the fundamentals section of the textbook, the state of matter does not affect it.
