When writing chemical equations, should we include all the states of matter?

Yes, when writing chemical formulas you are suppose to include all the states of matter!

I think just for practice maybe to be safe, I am not sure if it is required for exams though

Yes, I think that you should write the states of matter just to get into the habit of doing so for the future.

My TA said that we currently aren't required to include the states of matter in the chemical equations, but we will have to later in the course

I would include the state of matter because it helps show what is actually going on in the chemical reaction. Also, it is just good to get into the habit for later on in the course. :)
