How does one indicate which isomer of a compound that can have cis and trans forms is meant in a chemical formula?

Hi there! To indicate the specific isomer of a compound with cis and trans forms, stereochemical descriptors like "cis" and "trans" or the E-Z notation can be used based on spatial arrangements. Providing a detailed structural formula is another effective method to convey stereochemistry. Numerical prefixes and appropriate notations for zwitterionic compounds can also be employed for clarity in representing the specific isomer. I hope this helps a bit!
