How to see if C are in same place?
I can't figure out how to tell if carbons are in the same plane. Can you please explain this?

If you cannot imagine the structure in your head, my best advice is for you to make a model, two carbons are said to be in the same plane relative to others so build yourself a molecule that will illustrate that, the boat and chair conformations are good examples of 4 carbons in the same plane.
