we break the bond and how much energy is required to break the bond that is the bond enthalpy or conversely how much energy is released in the formation of the bond that is the bond enthalpy also

Bond enthalpies in general are measured by the energy it takes to break a bond. This can be done in a calorimeter where the amount of energy needed to break a bond can be measured, thus giving the bond enthalpy.
