For midterm or final questions, I find that the problem usually gives us most values in the equation PV=nRT, but leave out the mole value, which is usually necessary to solve the problem. From there, you can rearrange the equation and plug in the numbers for each variable to get the last variable you are looking for.

Most of the time, he gives us everything minus one of the things; it is mainly moles or pressure, but you will need the missing substance for another equation. Therefore, you must use PV=nRT to solve for the missing thing, then plug it into the other equation to solve the problem.
