Volume Change

Would a decrease in the volume of a container affect the amount of each gas in a reaction occurring within it?

Yes, this would favor the side of the reaction with a lower total coefficient (of gas/aqueous substances)!

Le Chatelier's Principle says when the volume of a container decreases, the pressure inside the container increases (according to Boyle's law) it can shift the position of the equilibrium, in this case the equilibrium will shift towards the side with fewer moles of gas.

Yes, a decrease in volume would cause the reaction to favor whichever side of the equation has less moles of gas.
