PV=nRT
P is the pressure of the system. V is the volume. n is the total number of moles of gases in system. R is a constant. T is temperature.(be careful the unit of temperture must be Kelvin)

As volume increases, pressure decreases. Conversely, if volume decreases, pressure increases. Pressure and volume are on the same side of the equation to show this inverse relationship.

The ideal gas law tells you that pressure and volume are inversely related, while pressure (and volume) are directly related to the number of moles and the temperature.
