Re: Units
For the Ideal Gas Law:
P (pressure) is measured in pascals
V (volume) is measured in cubic meters
n is the number of moles
T (temperature) is measured in kelvins
R (the constant) has value 8.314 J/(K. mol)

n is the number of moles
T (temperature) is measured in kelvins
R (the constant) has value 8.314 J/(K. mol)

Re: Units
You can also use the units:
P in atmospheres (atm)
V in liters (L)
n in moles
T in Kelvin (K)
R= 0.08206 L.atm.K-1.mol-1 (constant)
P in atmospheres (atm)
V in liters (L)
n in moles
T in Kelvin (K)
R= 0.08206 L.atm.K-1.mol-1 (constant)

Re: Units
I believe you can also use other units for pressure (such as atm or Torr) as long as you adjust the value and units of the constant R accordingly? There is a table for values of R based on which units are used.
