Partial Pressure for Gases

Postby Seohyun Park 1L » Thu Jan 17, 2019 5:24 pm

When someone increases the partial pressure of one particular gas when there are multiple gases, is it implied that the person is adding more moles of the gas? Or is there another method?

Not always. Sometimes decreasing the volume causes the pressure to increase since both of them are inversely proportional to each other.

You could also increase the partial pressure of that gas by decreasing the moles of gas of the other gasses right?
