• Identify reactions where the ideal gas law can be used as an approximation.

Can someone explain this please?

Lavelle mentioned if you are rusty on ideal gases to read up on them in the book! The textbook explains ideal gases well in the concepts of chemical equilibrium.

Ideal gas law states that one mole of an ideal gas occupies 22.4 L at STP (Standard Temp and Pressure). For all reaction purposes in this class, they will be ideal gases.
