### Units for concentration

Is it equivalent to write mol.L^-1 and M given that molarity is the moles of solute per liter?

Yes. Molarity is equal to mol/L, so mol.L^-1 is also the same.

Yes it is equivalent... it is just suggested to use mol/L when doing calculations so you are more aware of what units are being used and canceled and which remain.

Yes! These units are equivalent, no stoichiometry needed! Molarity is more often used because it's quicker to write M compared to writing out mol*L^-1 every time. Hope this helps!
