kc to kp

Postby annikaying » Thu Jan 09, 2020 4:51 pm

does pv=nrt only work for the individual components of K? For example if I wanted to convert kc to kp would I have to put all of the separate components into pv=nrt?

I believe you can convert Kc to Kp and vice versa. Here is the link to a video working through this concept: https://www.brightstorm.com/science/chemistry/chemical-equilibrium/tips-for-converting-to-kp-from-kc/

I know that in the Video Modules and pre/post assessments, the questions make us convert the PV=nRT equation to show how we can get Concentrations from given pressure; and then in another question we convert the equation, but this time to get Pressure from given concentration. So I imagine that it is possible to convert Kc to Kp, somehow.
