Partial and Total Pressures
When calculating the total pressure of a reaction at equilibrium, do we just add all of the partial pressure values together? Does initial partial pressure of the gas have any impact on total pressure at equilibrium?

Yep total pressure at equilibrium is all the partial pressures at equilibrium added up together. The initial partial pressure is not included when finding total pressure at equilibrium, but all the equilibrium partial pressures are included.

You can use the initial partial pressures to find the equilibrium partial pressures if you know what the change in partial pressures is as the system goes to equilibrium. This can be shown through creating an ICE table.

To get total pressure, you add the partial pressures at equilibrium (on an ICE chart, think of this as adding up all the partial pressures in the "E" row).

Through the usage of an ice table, you use the initial partial pressures to calculate the equilibrium pressures. Then, use the equilibrium partial pressures to find the total pressure.

Yes, total pressure is all the partial pressures added up. The total pressure at equilibrium would be all the partial pressures at equilibrium added up.

The total pressure is equal to the sum of all the partial pressures, and accordingly the total pressure at equilibrium is equal to the sum of all the partial pressures at equilibrium.

I remember misinterpreting total pressure as the total pressure for one reactant or product at the end of a reaction, but yes the total pressure is the sum of all the individual pressures of products together. The initial pressures can be used to find the equilibrium pressures for each substance involved in the reaction using an ICE box.

Similarly to calculating K, initial pressure is not taken into account for the total pressure of a system - just the equilibrium pressures. You add together all the gas pressures to find this value.

Yes, when trying to find the total pressure (at equilibrium) you take the sum of all the partial pressures (at equilibrium). To find the partial pressures at equilibrium you use the initial partial pressures and your ICE chart.

To find the total final pressure at equilibrium, you first find all of the partial pressures given at equilibrium then add these values together for a total.

To calculate the total pressure at equilibrium, you would use the inital partial pressures to find the partial pressures at equilibrium by using an ICE box. Then, add together the partial pressures at equilibrium to get the total pressure at equilibrium. Hope this helps!

I believe that the total pressure will just be the total/sum of all the partial pressures.

Yes, the total pressure is a sum of all the partial pressures of the gases involved in the reaction. The initial pressures do have an effect of the final pressure, which can be found using ICE tables and the equilibrium constant.
