ICE Box for Partial Pressures
Can you use the ICE box technique with partial pressures instead of concentrations?

Yes! The ICE chart can be used for partial pressures if all the reactants and products are in the gaseous state. There are some occasions where they give "concentrations" of the gases, ut ultimately, partial pressures and concentrations are used for the same thing in ICE charts.

Re: ICE Box for Partial Pressures
Yes, we can. Some questions provide the partial pressures of the products/reactions instead of the concentrations. We would use the same process for these kinds of problems, except using the partial pressures. Thus, we would be solving for Kp (equilibrium constant for partial pressures) instead of Kc (equilibrium constant for concentrations). We use the equation Kp = (P products)/(P reactants), which is almost the same as the equation for Kc, [reactants]/[products]. Then you would go on to solve the problem as you would if you were dealing with concentrations.

Yes! The whole process for solving Kp by working with partial pressures is the same as if we were working with concentration and Kc. We just have to make sure that we keep the same units throughout the ICE chart. We could even convert the partial pressures into concentrations through the equation P=[]RT (if we need to convert the partial pressures to [] to solve for Kc at least).
Re: ICE Box for Partial Pressures
As everyone said, the ICE box can be used for partial pressures as far as the units are consistent. the only thing to note is that Kp can be calculated only if all reactants and products are in the gaseous state

Yes. ice box works for partial pressure just how it does for concentrations. It is sometimes easier to convert to concentrations though if the question wants the answer in the form of molarity.

Yes you can use the ICE table with partial pressures instead of concentrations, just make sure to keep them consistent throughout. Also 1 bar is approximately equal to 1 atm so you won't have to convert atm to bar.

Yes, ICE charts are used for partial pressures if units are consistent. If all the units are in atm, you can use an ICE chart as you would use it for normal concentrations because 1atm is approximately 1 bar.

You can use an ICE table or partial pressure if the units are consistent. Just remember that pressure can be in bars or atm.
