Hello!

I believe interionic is the interaction between a charged ion and a surrounding ionic atmosphere that has an opposite charge. So, this is the attraction when a cation is surrounded by anions or an anion is surrounded by cations. Intermolecular forces represent the forces between molecules as a result of their own properties. This can help one understand properties of molecules, such as boiling point and melting point. I hope this helps!
